Bill & Barb Myers: Tel-A-Village
Indonesia, Asia
Tel-A-Village places Christian programming on videos that are distributed along with TV sets to villages across this massive Muslim nation. After the devastating tsunami, Rev. Bill took $18,000 raised at Bethesda for the tsunami victims and purchased food for the hungry.

Concerned about the importance of accurate translation of Biblical concepts, the Nelsons are using their cross-cultural experiences and field-tested successes to help translate the Bible into foreign languages. There are still over 3,000 language groups around the world without a translated Bible.

This organization is very successful at helping persons 18 plus overcome alcohol, drug and other addictive problems. They provide a one-year residential care and treatment program.

Macomb County Jail Ministry
Mt. Clemens, Michigan
This ministry meets the spiritual needs of 1,500 inmates through worship services, Bible studies, and counseling. BCC member and Chaplain Velma Williams helps with the practical needs of the incarcerated, such as clothing, books and Christmas gifts for their children.

New Life For Youth
Fair Haven, Michigan
Directed and founded by BCC members Mike Hibbs and Doris Chupick, New Life offers troubled youth temporary residence as well as counseling, education and work in a rural setting.

Reconciliation Ministries
Sterling Heights, Michigan
This healing ministry assists men and women who need sexual reorientation. Relationships are strengthened through Bible study, private pastoral counseling, after care and support groups for families.

Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility
Detroit, Michigan
BCC Member Emanuel Johnson coordinates all ministry to incarcerated juveniles, including Bible and correspondence studies, worship services, and spiritual and family counseling.

Short-Term Projects
