At Bethesda we're on a mission to "Communicate Christ To The Next Generation." Children are the seeds of the future and we take care to nurture them in a safe, supportive and fun environment.

King's Island is a children's adventure on Sundays for Grades K-5. This program is devoted to teaching kids about Jesus. We have:

  • Excursion Hour (9-9:45 a.m.): Small group time involving Bible memorization, chapel, activites, and a prelude to the King's Island weekly focus.
  • Large Group (9:45-noon): Snacks and weekly scripture games at "The Lagoon" and chapel with worship songs, drama, puppets, lessons and more.

Each week is an exciting adventure at King's Island where children learn about the love of God, Bible truths and Bible characters. King's Island runs from September through May with Excursion Hour running all year long.
WEDNESDAYS
The Wednesday evening program for Grades 1-5 combines small group devotional time with breakout groups that let kids use their talents and have fun! Children choose between the Stick ministry, Worship Team, Drama, Dance, Hand Bells, Art/Building or the Kids' Praise Children's Choir.

NURSERIES
Quizzers memorize Scripture and compete
against teams from other churches. Bethesda has had a team in the top 20 nationally for the past six years. Teams practice Sundays at 8:30 a.m.
Our nursery department provides safe, fun, and meaningful activities for children from newborn to preschool. This important ministry gives parents the opportunity to attend the Sunday and Wednesday Services and receive the ministry of the Word.

hildren's Involvement And Learning
S.P.E.C.I.A.L. helps children who are mentally, physically or behaviorally challenged by pairing them with a "Cheergiver" who can give them one-on-one care. A Cheergiver can help focus attention, assist with physical limitations and allows the child to participate in class activities.
